Hey everyone,
I wanted to put up a nice, lengthy post up here about what will be happening with PodDisneyCast. As you probably realize, I wasn't able to release a few finishing episodes to season one of PDC. That is due to technical difficulties on my part, I'm very sorry about that, but there was nothing I could do. I am currently in need of purchasing a new microphone which is why I was unable to record the last few episodes. Upon the damage of my microphone, I was faced with a decision. I either had to end PodDisneyCast altogether, or do a total redo of our show. I opted for the second. Upon our hiatus, we reached 742 downloads and counting. To have had that many people downloading this little podcast was mindblowing to me. Season 2 will premiere on AUGUST 23RD here on our website and on iTunes. As I mentioned on a recent post, I must take down Season 1 from iTunes and our website. However, these episodes will still be available either through purchase in our store (see "Store" page) and I will post ALL the episodes on our YouTube page (including the one and only live VIDEO stream). Our website is (obviously) down until August 23rd because I will be doing a VERY major overhaul of it and will be adding links to all of our episodes once I upload them to YouTube.
In addition to a new website, I will be redoing the way our episodes are. They will still be released every other week, but they will be a lot less crazy and scattered like all of the Season 1 episodes. Being able to take a few months off to really think about what I want to do with all my next PDC episodes will really improve the overall quality of the episodes. I feel though that the only way I can make these episodes better, is through input from you, my listeners. That is why I will be using the poddisneyc@gmail.com email more often now so I can receive your input. I also set up a PATREON website. What is a Patreon page you may ask? Well, you visit our Patreon page (conveniently located at: Patreon.com/PodDisneyCast and you donate money (ranging from $1-$150) and get some awesome perks and exclusive stuff just for donating! All money will go to bettering PDC whether in the form of equipment or subscriptions to such things as Weebly which will allow for a website with more features, or purchasing more space on our podcast hosting site which will allow us to keep more episodes up on iTunes at the same time.
Our first season will be taken down from our site and iTunes on AUGUST 22ND, so make sure you download all the episodes you want by then. On August 23rd we'll have a huge unveiling ceremony, details TBA. Make sure you sign up for our text alerts by texting "@DisneyCast" to 81010 to stay up to date with everything going on in the PDC world. I hope to do some awesome new stuff in the coming year so stay tuned for more updates and TONS of information during the big unveiling ceremony about what the PDC future holds and how we plan to improve.
